Who we are

We’re Larry and Michelle Ramirez—husband and wife, educators, coaches, parents, and the proud co-founders of Legacy & Mindset Obey Purpose (L&MOP).

L&MOP was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to develop young people through faith, purpose, and the sport of track and field. We believe every athlete has been created with unique gifts, and our responsibility is to help them discover those gifts, develop them with excellence, and use them to glorify God.

What began as a shared vision has grown into a family-centered community where athletes are challenged to become stronger not only in competition, but also in character, leadership, discipline, and their relationship with Christ. While we are passionate about helping athletes achieve personal bests and compete at the highest levels, we believe the greatest victories happen off the track.

As educators and mentors, we strive to create an environment where every athlete feels seen, valued, and encouraged. Through intentional coaching, biblical principles, and meaningful relationships, we aim to prepare young people for success in athletics, academics, and life.

At L&MOP, we believe that purpose is greater than performance. Winning races is rewarding, but building integrity, resilience, humility, and faith creates a legacy that lasts far beyond the finish line.

Whether we’re leading a practice, mentoring a family, serving our community, or celebrating an athlete’s accomplishments, our prayer remains the same: that every person who becomes part of L&M Obey Purpose leaves knowing they were created with a purpose and equipped to impact the world around them.
